For now, Gmail and Google Workspace are connected to NexReply using an app password for the mailbox. You do not share your regular Google password.
Decide which Gmail or Google Workspace address NexReply may use. Make sure you can access this Google account. For a managed Workspace account, your administrator may need to confirm that IMAP and app passwords are available for this mailbox.
Enable 2-Step Verification for the selected Google account. Then open that account's security settings and create a separate password for NexReply under App passwords. If the option is missing, contact your Workspace administrator or NexReply; it is not available for every account.
Ask NexReply for a secure transfer link if you need to provide the app password. Do not send it by ordinary email or through the contact form. NexReply configures the mailbox through IMAP and SMTP, then checks with you that a test message arrives and a reply can be sent. Enable automatic sending only after this check.
Google requires 2-Step Verification for app passwords and may disable the option for some accounts, including managed Workspace accounts. Ask your administrator to check availability if App passwords is missing. Reviewed on 25 September 2026.
